FANTASY GOLF : is a kind pf fantasy sport that has been successful to captivate the interest of many people across the globe. Fantasy golf is a game where players choose a set of golfers to play each week. It is also referred by some as the money producing game as it is the kind of the sport that lets a person earn quite handsome amount while playing. For each tournament, a golfer may be selected as a money player where his earning would be counted as the points for that tournament. Each event has a number of players and one requires selecting one golfer from each category, mostly there are four categories or tiers. First category or tier consists of seven golfers, second category or tier consists of fourteen golfers, the third tier or category consists of twenty one golfers, tier four or fourth category consists of the rest of the field.  Each golfer may only be chosen a maximum of three times per segment. In every event one has an option to select just one golfer as the money golfer whose earnings would be doubled for that event.  A golfer may be designated as money golfer only once per segment. Each event one will receive points based on the actual event earnings your golfer earns for that event. If your golfer wins the event his points will be multiplied on a scale based on the golfers’ pre-assigned tier. In one tier points multiply by a factor of one, in second tier the multiplication is by two factors, in third it is by a factor of three and similarly by a factor of four in the fourth tier.

HOW TO PLAY, RULES, WHY AND WHERE I CAN PLAY: Fantasy golf is avery popular game played all over the world. There are a few kinds of leagues in which one has to participate in order to play fantasy sport. One kind of league is called a Public league where participants will assign their team a name, and can start picking their team right away. Then there is a league that is an existing Private League, here the participants will then need to enter the league ID number and league password for the league participants have been invited to join, incase you have forgotten your ID number or other information you can always refer to the email invitation or refer the person who has created the league. The third option for leagues is to create a Private League where the participants would assign their league a name and password. Once the league has been successfully created, participants will be prompted to send out invitations to others participants who would like to join the league. The invitations will contain vital information needed for others to join the league. The usual number is 8 golfers from 3 sets. Once a player has chosen his 8 man team, he will then choose 4 golfers to start in a foursome. Throughout the tournament, which usually spans four days, a player can interchange the various golfers. A golfer will receive points based on how well he played on a given day that he plays. The game is played on internet but before the advent of internet the scores were sent through various mediums of communication like telephones, television channels etc. With the coming of the internet now there are a large amount of websites that allow various options in fantasy sports enabling a person to play from any part of the world. During the tournament a player can swap his golfers. Golfers can either be transferred or substituted. Transfer is an act of removing one of your squad of 12 and replacing them with another golfer on the player list. A substitution is the act of replacing a player in one of the six active slots with one of the six inactive players. A golfer can obtain a maximum of 20 fantasy points in every round of a game. The golfer with the lowest real-life score in a round receives 20 points. Other golfers receive two fewer points for every stroke they finish behind the leader. Golfers 10 or more strokes back receive zero points. The overall competition is one big leader board. The captain who scores the highest is the winner of the week.
