Mock Football Draft I Standings Report
Week #9:
Dawn Santos has once again taken over the lead of our Wild Card Sports Mock II Fantasy Draft League. Dawn and Josh Smith have flip-flopped just about every week over the past two months. She's opened up a 23pt lead over Josh, but coming up quickly now is Blazing Gunz, just 26pts back (Gunz trailed by almost 50pts last week).
Chris Ratel's squad was the "Big Mover" in Week Nine, scoring a league-high 149pts last weekend. Ratel's team moved up 3 spots (7th to 4th), which tied him with Millertime and Ned Brown for the highest movement up the standings with 3 spots each. On the flip side, BC Canada took the largest tumble over the past 7 days, dropping four spots from 4th to 8th.

Week #8:
Doing their best John Kerry impression (sorry Democrats ... just a little political humor), Dawn Santos and Josh Smith continue to "flip-flop" for the top spot in the Wild Card Sports Mock Draft II league standings.
After taking a brief 1-pt lead last weekend, Josh has come back to lead again, though he owns just an 8pt difference through Week Eight.
Mike Nagy and Chris Ratel made the best moves of the past seven days, each moving up 2 spots. Nagy's team used M. Muhammad's 30 fantasy points to make his move, while Chris Ratel scored a league-best 199pts last weekend. On the other side of the coin, Ned Brown fell the farthest in just a week, falling three spots from 6th to 9th. As luck would have it, Ned had 7 of his players either on bye or were injured last week.
1. Josh Smith, 1123 pts
2. Dawn Santos, 1115 pts
3. Blazing Gunz, 1084 pts
4. BC Canada, 1035 pts
5. Mike Nagy, 1019 pts

Week #7:
There has been some serious movement both up-n-down the standings over the past 2 weeks of our Wild Card Sports Mock II Draft League. Again, your draft picks from before the season started make up your squad (with no transactions or any kind) and we're all playing for the coveted free trophy as seen on the website (http://www.wildcardsports.com/football/mockdraftrules2.htm)
Dawn Santos, thanks to the WR-combo of Javon Walker and Joe Horn, has taken over the league lead but by just one point over previous leader Josh Smith. Blazing Gunz is making the fastest rise, moving up four spots (from 8th to 4th) over the past 14 days, while Brian Kreklau (thanks to the injuries to Q. Griffin and K. Winslow and lack of production from TJ Duckett and the Dallas defense) took the largest tumble going down 6-places ... from 4th to 10th place. WildCard Steve scored the largest amount in Week Seven thanks to big weekend performances by Tiki Barber, Byron Leftwich and Jeff Garcia.
Below are the current standings (as of 10/27/04) ... good luck to everyone!
1. Dawn Santos, 995 pts
2. Josh Smith, 994 pts
3. BC Canada, 921 pts
4. Blazing Gunz, 903 pts
5. WildCard Steve, 901 pts
6. Ned Brown, 884 pts
7. Mike Nagy, 883 pts
8. Millertime, 875 pts
9. Chris Ratel's Squad, 808 pts
10. Brian Kreklau, 803 pts

Week #5:
My bad to everyone ... had a long week of work and family "stuff" last week and wasn't able to get to the update email ... though not much has changed in the standings. On the other hand, while teams haven't gone up-n-down much, the amount of points between teams has gotten closer and closer! Currently less than 100pts separates 1st and 6th place with 12 weeks still to go!
Josh Smith's lead is shrinking, but so far his team has avoided any major injury losses (just one - DeShaun Foster) and a down year from Ahman Green so far. Dawn Santos is making her run thanks to her WR combo of Javon Walker and Joe Horn, while BC Canada is probably the most impressive squad among the Top 3 with Tommy Maddox, Joey Galloway and Deion Branch being almost non-existent in 2004. Proving that drafting an NFL squad before the year starts is as much skill as luck, looking at SteelerMike's roster shows why he's struggling. He's got a who's-who of top players in the pre-season that are now hurt (Charles Rogers, Julius Jones, Marcel Shipp, Moe Williams and Tatum Bell)
Below are the standings ... more details next week!
1. Josh Smith, 744pts
2. Dawn Santos, 725pts
3. BC Canada, 705pts
4. Brian Kreklau, 658pts
5. Millertime, 648pts
6. WildCard Steve, 642pts
7. Ned Brown, 632pts
8. Blazing Gunz, 629pts
9. Mike Nagy, 624pts
10. T.Rex's Renegades, 550pts
11. Chris Ratel's Squad, 545pts
12. SteelerMike, 470pts |

Ratel's Squad and the Renegades took the largest tumbles for the week, each dropping 4 spots from Week #2.
