NFL Ring the Bell 2004

What is Ring the Bell? NFL Ring the Bell is Wild Card Sports.com's big new NFL handicapping contest.  Match you wits picking 5 NFL game totals each week and see if you have what it takes to finish at the top of the standings in the regular season and qualify for our playoffs.  See the consensus picks of the members of the contest and use it as a great resource for the football season.  With two prize structures, you can compete in Ring the Bell for free or signup for our Big Money prize structure and win some big prizes.  This is our first year of Ring the Bell, will you be the first champion?
What are totals? You've probably heard the expression a lot and didn't even realize it.  A total is a prediction on the total number of points scored in any NFL game.  Let's say that the Jets play the Patriots with a final score of 17-14.  The total of the game is 31.  When you choose totals you are choosing either the "over" or the "under" of that total.  So if the Jets=Pats game above had a line of 35, the final score would be under.
What do I have to do? It's simple.  Log onto our website each week and fill out a simple form picking your 5 picks for the week.  We do all of the scoring and the results.  All picks must be in by Friday 5PM EDT.  Any week that you miss will be scored as an 0-5 week.  We will post the consensus picks on Saturday morning along with every team's choices.  We will post the lines for the week on Tuesday morning, you have all week to decide on your picks for the week.
How does the playoff structure work? At the conclusion of Week 17 of the NFL Regular season the top 16 teams based on % will be seeded and placed into a tournament that will coincide with the NFL playoffs.  In the tournament you will be choosing games for the NFL playoffs, some of these choices may include props and totals.

Regular season ties are resolved by looking at the final week's %.  If that does not resolve the tie, we look at the final three week's %.  If there is still no resolution we will go to a random draw.  In the post-season all matchups will include a tie-breaker choice.

What can I win? We have two separate prize structures for the 2004 season:

Play for Free
SuperBowl Winner:  $100 BetGameDay account prize
Super Bowl Runner-up:  $50 BetGameDay account prize
Regular Season % Winner:  $50 BetGameDay account prize

Super Bowl Runner-up:  $250 BetGameDay account prize

To qualify for the Big Money Prize Structure, you must make a deposit into either a new or existing BetGameDay account of at least $100.  You have until Week 6 of the NFL season to qualify for the Big Money Prize Structure.

All BetGameDay prizes include standard rollover.

How do I signup? It's very simple...just send me and email (brian@wildcardsports.com) and I'll add you to the list of contestants for 2004.
