1) Rams +4 1/2 @ Seahawks

JUSTIFICATION: Seattle struggled a bit down the stretch. They managed to win their last two home games but by only three points against Arizona and two points against an uninspired Atlanta team. If that is the amount of effort they are willing to put forth, fighting for a playoff position, I don't want to risk my money hoping they will all of a sudden turn it on.  Also, with the controversy surrounding RB Alexander, the team will be distracted having to answer a ton of questions regarding his comments. QB Bulger has torched Seattle this year passing for nearly 600 yards and four TDs. St. Louis seems to have figured out how to attack Seattle and Seattle hasn't figured out how to adjust. I expect that St. Louis will not only cover this game but win outright.

2) Chargers -6 vs. Jets

JUSTIFICATION: The Jets like to run a balanced attack on offense but, since QB Pennington's arm injury, he has been unable to stretch defenses because his arm strength is not 100%. If he is unable to throw deep, the Chargers will stuff the line and try to take away RB Martin. If they are successful, this game will be a blowout. I expect both teams to try to establish the run early The Jets will do so to hide QB Pennington's weak arm and the Chargers will do so because this will be QB Brees' first playoff game. I think the Chargers defense is better suited to stopping the run and that will be the difference in a relatively low scoring game.

3) Colts -10 vs. Broncos

JUSTIFICATION: The last game of the regular season was just a walk-through for the Colts. They didn't want to try anything new and just played to not get hurt. The Broncos should take nothing positive out of that game. The Colts like to get off to a fast start. It sets the tone for the whole game.  It takes the opponents running game out of the game plan and allows their weakness on the defensive line to not be exploited to its fullest. Look for the Colts to come out storming. CB Bailey will probably try to take out WR Harrison but the Broncos don't have anyone that can handle WRs Wayne and Stokley even when they are healthy. Unfortunately, for the Broncos, CBs Walls and Middlebrooks are nursing injuries. That will spell doom for the Broncos. The Colts win this one in a laugher.

4) Packers -5 1/2 vs. Vikings

JUSTIFICATION: After a rough start at home, starting the season going 0-3, the Packers won four of their last five at Lambeau Field. They also were one of the best teams in the NFC down the stretch playing their best ball when it was needed most. The Vikings, on the other hand, started off fast again and finished with another whimper. With WR Moss deciding to leave the field before regulation ended, it shows very clearly that this team is not a team. The Vikes are 2-20 on grass and will be playing in what appears to be some very cold conditions, if extended weather reports are accurate. This will cut down any benefit the Vikes have in speed and plays to the Packers in the trenches persona. The Vikes defense is not strong and with SS Chavous out with a broken elbow, QB Favre will be able to pick the defense apart. I expect the Packers to try to get out to a quick lead then the Vikings, who have absolutely no heart whatsoever, will fold their tent and pack their bags for the winter. Unfortunately, for Vikings fans, that will be at halftime.
